One of the most important days of the year, no matter if you are 5 or 85, is your birthday. What better way to celebrate this special day, than a birthday at Vertically Inclined?

In our 2-hour session you’ll have a blast and reach all new heights! Vertically Inclined Birthdays are geared for fun and packed with climbing excitement! We include all the necessary rental equipment and excellent instructors that will guide you through your celebration. Bring your friends, cousins and even old Uncle Hugo for a great time!

Booking is on a first come first served basis.

To book we require a credit card or cash deposit to hold your time spot.

Cost:
$20 + GST / person

Group Size:
Minimum number of participants is 4 and the maximum is approximately 40 participants (depending upon the time).

Times:
Birthday Parties must be pre-booked and can be scheduled weekdays starting before 5pm, Friday evenings until 11pm, Saturdays 11am- 11pm and Sundays during normal hours.

Availability may be limited due to previously booked groups or other events. Please call (780) 496-9390 for more information on possible dates and times.

Ages:
Birthday Parties can be booked for groups aged 5 years and older. Different instructor ratios apply to groups under 10 years of age. All participants under the age of 18 need a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.

Program:
For Climbers 5-9 years

• Introduction to the facility
• Gearing up with harnesses & climbing shoes
• Bouldering (climbing without ropes along the lower portion of the wall)
  • This may include playing Bouldering games
• Instructors set up and belay (manage the ropes) for the kids while they climb up the walls - Minimum time on the ropes is 1 hour
  • Instructors may go back and forth between climbing on the ropes, bouldering and bouldering games depending on the interests and attention span of the climbers
• Wrap up & debrief

For Climbers 10 years and older (who are deemed responsible by group instructor(s)

• Introduction to the facility
• Gearing up with harnesses & climbing shoes
• Bouldering (climbing without ropes along the lower portion of the wall)
  • This may include playing Bouldering games
• Instruction on belaying (managing the ropes)
• Instructors supervise as participants climb and belay for one another - Minimum time on the ropes is 1 hour
• Wrap up & debrief
  
  

Clothing:
Participants are suggested to wear comfortable clothing that they can move around in. Layers are also a great idea. Everyone must wear socks in the rental shoes.
