The Getting Into It is your introduction to the exciting sport of indoor climbing

This 3-hour program is for new climbers ages 14 and up. It presents all the information necessary to get you started in the sport of indoor rock climbing! The course introduces new climbers to the facility and teaches the basics of the Top Rope systems including belaying (controlling the rope at the bottom for the climber), the figure eight follow through knot (used to secure the climber while they climb) and all the appropriate safety checks.

Our excellent instructors will set you up with all of the equipment, keep you under a watchful eye, and challenge you on our sculpted walls!

Following the course you will be able to come in and complete a belay check giving you access to all our top rope routes and passes.

Cost:
$59 + GST. Included with this course: a free return night, a complimentary belay check, and two 25% discount visits.

Times:
The Getting Into It must be pre-booked and runs every Tuesday (7-10pm), Thursday (7-10pm) and Saturday (10am-1pm). Can also be booked at other times for larger groups.

Ages:
The Getting Into It is available to participants age 14 and up and to participants age 12-13 if their parent is also in the program. All participants must have a waiver signed. For those under 18 years of age, they must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Clothing:
Participants are suggested to wear comfortable clothing that they can move around in. Layers are also a great idea. Everyone must wear socks in the rental shoes.

Booking & Cancellation:
Courses must be booked at least 48 hours prior to the course time.  Cancellations within 48 hours of the session are subject to a $25 cancellation fee per person.

Note: The Getting Into It is a certification preparation program. Following the course participants are ready to complete a Top Rope Belay Check which will allow them to access all top ropes in the facility without further supervision.
