Pre-requisites
All participants enrolling in the Taking the Lead Course must have completed a Vertically Inclined Rock Gym Toprope Belay Check using an ATC (friction tube) BEFORE REGISTERING for the Lead Course.
Cost
The Taking the Lead Course is $99 +gst per person for the 5-hour course divided between two 2.5 hour sessions.
Times
The Taking the Lead Course can be booked at almost any time (pending instructor availability).
If you have multiple dates that work for you, that will be helpful in finding an appropriate day and time. You can also check the calendar to work around larger groups or programs.
Ages
The Taking the Lead Course is available to climbers 14 years and older.
Exceptions may be made for younger climbers participating in the Junior Team program.
TTL Course for individuals
For a climber booking the lessons as a private course for one person, the cost is $135 +gst for two 2-hour sessions.
*If the participant can provide a climber who has already passed the Vertically Inclined Rock Gym Lead Check and who is willing to take some falls in the second session, the program price is $99 +gst for two 2-hour sessions.

Due to the wide variety in scheduling for this course, bookings for the Taking the Lead Course can be made over the phone at 780-496-9390 or through e-mail at climbing@verticallyinclined.com.
All bookings must be done a minimum of 1 week before the first session.
A fee of $50 will be charged for cancellations done less than 48 hours before a session and no-shows are charged full price.
